Here are some resources we’ve come to rely on as a family:
Caring Hands Animal Hospital: for annual shots, healthcare panics and “good behavior” discounts, our furbabies are in great hands.
Olde Towne School for Dogs: the best training our money could buy. Their Day Care Training resolved social anxiety, obstinate leash walking and other rescue dog ticks.
Olde Towne Pet Resort: We’d live there if they catered to humans. Paw-lates, swim lessons, a spa with puppy toenail polish and great boarding rates. No breed restrictions.
Homeward Trails Animal Rescue: Based in Northern Virginia, this organization provides and coordinates pet adoptions and fostering in the DC-Metropolitan area. We worked with them to bring home our first pup, Zozo, and they couldn’t have taken better care of us.
Animal Welfare League of Arlington: dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, “small pets.” They’ve got it all. We fell in love with MJ through their website, and they made her homecoming super easy. Resources, training, advice and all-around good folks, we recommend AWLA if you’re considering a pet, but you like more interaction prior to submitting your adoption application.
Animal Welfare League of Arlington Pit Crew: Have a bully breed? Inspired to become an ambassador for your pup and her lineage? This group is absolutely for you! Low-pressure meetings, volunteer opportunities, social gatherings and owner support-groups. Check out their Facebook page (linked above) for details!
Olde Towne Pet Resort LOVES Mj and Zozo! They are family to us ❤
We love you too!
